Our volunteer teachers represent the best of Israeli society. They are
selected after passing a personal interview and, since we are teaching
youths, a police check in accordance with the law. With no
remuneration they dedicate their time, their energy and their
knowledge for the benefit of the youth of the Sulam L’Atid Project.
Among our teachers are lawyers, doctoral students, a teacher at a
teachers’ college, law students and students of accounting, a woman
demolition officer in the army reserves, etc. These are talented and
special people. Often our volunteer teachers have requested to add an
extra hour of teaching to their weekly schedule and also to teach their
pupils over the summer vacation. The bond between our pupils and
teachers is strong. From the professional educational standpoint the
Sulam L’Atid NGO is backed by the pedagogical advice of Professor
Yehuda Bar Shalom.
